There are 2 simple options for adding money to your MogoCard. Please note you can't load your MogoCard with a "credit card". You can transfer money from your bank account with an Interac e-Transfer or via your bank ATM Visa Debit card.
Visa Debit Transfer
Our transfer mechanism supports Scotiabank, TD Bank and CIBC. Your information travels encrypted
and will be processed based on the standards dictated by the payment card industry. Your money is
transferred instantly and no hold will be applied to your bank account, therefore the transfer cannot be
cancelled.
- Sign in to your MogoAccount and head over to your MogoCard dashboard
- Click
and select your bank
- Add Visa Debit Account details
- Enter the amount of money you want to transfer to your MogoCard
- Allow up to 30 minutes for the transfer to clear
Interac e-Transfer
Once you’ve completed your transfer, allow at least 30 minutes for the money to be added to your available card balance, at which point you can start using your MogoCard right away!
- Sign in to your MogoAccount and head over to your MogoCard dashboard
- Click “Add Money” and select your bank
- After reviewing the transfer limits, applicable fees and processing time, click “How to Transfer”
- Use the “Recipient Info” and “Security Info” to submit your e-Transfer
*Hint: You can tap on the icon next to the information to copy it for easy pasting into your online banking’s e-Transfer form - Log into your online banking and submit your Interac e-Transfer
When you add 'Mogo Spending' as a recipient, be sure to select Email from the notification list. At this time, Mogo does not accept SMS notifications. Transfers that are sent using an SMS notification will not be accepted.
