Interac e-Transfer Request is a feature that allows you to transfer money by requesting it, rather than sending it from your bank account. Deposit limit is currently $3,000 per transfer. This limit may be affected by the limits set by your bank and Interac.
Interac Request - Instant allows you to "request money" from yourself using the Interac e-Transfer Request feature and have it be deposited directly into your MogoTrade Account.
Request Money has the same limitations that a regular Interac e-Transfer has. Your bank will limit the amount and how often you can request or send per transaction within a 24 hour period and within a 7 day period.
While attempting to do an Interac e-Transfer Request, you make come across a few errors/delays from time to time. Below are common issues:
Your transfer has been declined: You've declined the transfer. Please restart the Interac transfer
|Your transfer has been declined: You've declined the transfer. Please restart the Interac transfer||This means that you have declined the e-Transfer request you created. If this was done in error, you can restart the process anytime you wish.|
|Interac request has been disabled: You've disabled Interac requests. Please enable requests to continue funding with this method.||Some banks allow you to enable/disable Interac e-Transfer Requests. Please log in to your online banking from a computer, don’t use your bank app, and check your settings. If you can’t enable this feature, reach out to your bank to inquire about the Interac e-Transfer Request service and how you can enable it on your bank account.|
|Your Interac transfer has expired: Your last Interac transfer wasn't completed and it's expired. You can try transferring again.||Once you initiate an Interac e-Transfer Request, you must complete the process within 24 hours or it will expire and you will need to start again. This includes logging into your bank and accepting the Request.|
|Interac transfer limit reached: You've reached the funding limit with Interac. Please contact your banking institution to resolve this issue||Your bank will be able to provide you with information on your Interac e-Transfer Request limits. Most banks have set the limit at $3,000 but you should contact your bank to confirm and in some cases you may be able to get your limit adjusted. You can try a lower amount but if the issue persists you will need to reach out to your bank.|
