As first communicated to our Members on October 13th, 2022, our Mogo Bitcoin product and our Rewards program were officially shut down on December 12th, 2022. If you held cash or BTC and did not withdraw your cash or transfer your BTC to Coinsquare by 5:00 PM ET on December 12, please read important information below on next steps.
Any remaining balance (cash or BTC) that originated from your own invested funds (money you deposited to your MogoCrypto account) is now in the process of being liquidated. We will email you at the email address associated with your Mogo account and provide you with further information on how to access your liquidated balance in early January. You can also check back with this help article, which will be updated with additional information on how to access your liquidated balance.
Any rewards earned through the Bitcoin rewards program no longer have any cash value and have been removed from your account.
Update on transfers
This option is for transfers already in progress, the option to initiate a transfer, as outlined below, has expired.
If you’ve requested your CAD and/or BTC to be transferred to Coinsquare and it has not been transferred yet, as long as you’ve successfully opened a Coinsquare account and accurately inputted your personal Coinsquare ID in your Mogo account, then the transfer will still go through. [You will receive a confirmation from Coinsquare once the transfer is complete.]
If you requested a transfer but were not successful in opening a Coinsquare account or did not accurately input your personal Coinsquare ID in your Mogo account, then the transfer will not go through and your Bitcoin will be liquidated.
Mogo will be emailing you a copy of your Bitcoin transactions that you may need for tax purposes. Emails will be sent to the email address associated with your Mogo account.
We no longer provide live support for Bitcoin but you can continue to send any inquiries to email@example.com. Please email us from the email address associated with your MogoAccount.
